62 NIOBE Sea Cadets took the lead in a ceremony held at Branch 24 Royal Canadian Legion in Bridgewater on Sunday May 4th. The ceremony included Legion members, veterans, Army Cadets, parents and the music provided by the Bridgewater Fire Department Band. This was the longest, largest and most complex campaign of WW2 during which 30 Canadian Navy ships were lost in combat related incidents. During the ceremony each ship was named and a bell was sounded to honour the ship and the loss of the ships company.
