We wrapped up our General Meetings last night at Bridgewater Legion for the Summer. It was a great evening of comradeship and special presentations. We presented a cheque to Senior Wheels for the work they do to assist our Veteran Community. Treasurer Kevin Keddy accepted on behalf of Seniors Wheels and stressed that the long standing relationship between his organization and the Legion is very important. We also received our long anticipated laptops that were donated by Calian group (https://www.calian.com/) and thanks to the CIO Mike Muldner, and our Service Officer Rob Smith for making this happen. We were also treated to one of the bright young students at Bridgewater Jr High, Ben Wile, who won the Regional Heritage Fair Military category with his project on the Battle of the Somme. Ben presented his project and thanked the Legion for the support he received and said that he will be off to Halifax for the next level of competition. Even though we will resume General Meetings on September 6th, there will be so much going on at the Branch this summer, keep checking our Facebook page and our website.
